About Hostel

This 100 years old prestigious hostel for Kamma students in Guntur had the great privilege of being run by stalwarts like Dr Parachuri Veeraiah Choudhary garu , Sri Tella Krishnamma Choudary garu , Sri Jagarlamudi Kuppuswamy Choudhary garu , Dr K Sadasiva Rao garu and Dr Kondabolu Basavapunnaiah garu .

They were ably aided by many senior members of our community like Sri Kodali Venkatratnam Choudary garu , Sri Puvvada Nageswara Rao garu , Sri Peddi Venkateswara Rao garu , DR G Parandhamaiah , and Sri Namineni Koteswara Rao , who served as secretaries over the years .

We have 2 buildings - one , The Sakhamuri Lakshmi Devanna building and the other , Sri Jampala Sambaiah building , both in 4 th lane Arundelpet , Guntur . These invaluable properties were made possible by munificent donations made by many big hearted people of our community in and around Guntur .

Over the decades , thanks to continuous financial support from the public , the hostel was able to serve the needs of poor and needy students of Kamma Community with minimum charges and free of cost lodging and boarding to 20 % of students.

Many old students have rose to fame and fondly remember the wardens , like Sri Yealavarti Rosaiah , Sri Marupudi Koteswara Rao , Sri Namineni Koteswara Rao , Sri Pulicherla sambasiva rao and several others , who served the hostel , voluntarily, without salary .

The great traditions are being continued even today by the new committee, guided and advised by the seniors .

Even now the hostel is being run with minimum charges , best food and proper supervision. Currently 350 plus students are being taken care of in the hostel .
